Barcelona has released their official squad for Saturday’s La Liga match against Elche, which will be played at Camp Nou. Manager Xavi Hernandez has a nearly full squad at his disposal, with only one player missing out.
Sergi Roberto, one of Barcelona’s captains has been ruled out for the game. According to Javi Miguel of AS, the 30-year-old is out due to Achilles discomfort.
The veteran defender has been plagued by injuries in recent years, missing a large portion of the previous season as a result. However, he looked good in the ongoing campaign making the most of whatever opportunities came his way.

Roberto has suffered another injury that will keep him out of action on Saturday. The report adds that the severity of his problem is minor, and the two-week international break following this weekend’s games should allow the La Masia graduate to fully recover.
Roberto had already missed the previous La Liga match against Cadiz due to muscular discomfort, and he was not named to the matchday squad for the midweek match against Bayern Munich.
The versatile star, who signed a new one-year contract with Barça this summer, has played five times this season across all competitions, with one goal and one assist to show for his efforts.
