Former PSG star charged with aggravated violence

Aminata Diallo former Paris Saint-Germain player, has been charged with aggravated assault in connection with an attack on another former teammate. The charges are the result of an incident that occurred in France.
Diallo was taken into custody earlier on Friday, and the judge has requested that she remain there until further notice.
She was arrested for the second time in connection with this case, as part of the investigation into the assault on Kheira Hamraoui a year ago. Diallo was arrested in November but later released with no charges filed against him.

Diallo was brought in for questioning by police after four other men were arrested earlier this week in connection with the assault.
According to ESPN sources, the four men told police that Diallo gave the order to attack her teammate and that she was the one who initiated the attack.

The men justified their actions by claiming that, the attack was motivated by the two players’ rivalry and Diallo’s desire to play instead of Hamraoui. Both players play the same position on the team.
Diallo is said to have initially denied any involvement in the crime after being arrested, before exercising her right to remain silent during the subsequent interview. At this point, she will begin preparing her defense with her attorney.

During the investigation, police allegedly recorded Diallo’s phone calls and discovered evidence that she was planning another attack against Hamraoui, who is still employed by PSG.
Kheira was assaulted after spending the evening with Diallo and some of his teammates. After being struck multiple times with a metal bar, Kheira Hamraoui needed stitches on her hands and legs. The blows were aimed at her.
Diallo has been without a team to play for since her contract with PSG expired at the end of the previous season.
