Bruno Saltor has been appointed as interim head coach at Stamford Bridge while the club look at possible permanent replacements for Potter. Bruno will be looking for his Blues side to bounce back from the weekend’s defeat against a side in Liverpool that have been enduring a similar season to their counterparts.
The Reds are currently in eighth place in the Premier League table, four points ahead of Chelsea in 11th. After just missing out on the quadruple last season, it’s been a really disappointing campaign for Jurgen Klopp who has found himself under some recent pressure.
Klopp will be without four players for this evening’s trip to Stamford Bridge. The German coach confirmed on Monday that Luis Diaz and Thiago Alcantara, who have both recently returned to full first-team training with Liverpool, are not quite ready for the match with Chelsea.
“No, he [Diaz] is not available, but he is in training, but he is not ready for this game,” Klopp said on Diaz. “As much as we want him to be back, we still have to give him time.”

Klopp added: “We had Thiago yesterday in training, in normal team training, which is good as well, but he’s not available for tomorrow of course, so we will see how he reacts. That’s it.”
Liverpool will also be missing backup right-back Calvin Ramsay for tonight’s match. The 19-year-old has been missing this season with a serious knee injury and will not be available for selection.
Likewise, Stefan Bajcetic, who established himself as an important member of Klopp’s squad earlier in the season, will miss the remainder of the season. The 18-year-old midfielder has an abductor muscle injury and is not available for selection.
