Tamale City terminates Emmanuel Kotei’s contract

Ghana Premier League side,Tamale City has quickly terminated Emmanuel Kotei contract for misconduct following the membership’s match day two loss to Legon Cities within the Ghanaian top flight League.
The player is accused of insubordination and gross indiscipline in a statement written to him and signed by the Chief Executive Officer, Mohammed Iddi.
“The club’s management has decided to dismiss you with immediate effect for insubordination and excessive indiscipline.”

The statement continues, “The club, Tamale City, is greater than any individual and would not condone any act that would bring the club’s hard earned name down.” Your attitude toward management, the technical team, and your teammates has been highly negative, and it has a propensity to break the team down.”

“It is widely known that you served the club with all your heart in previous years, which we really appreciate, but your actions this time shows that you intend to break the team.” “We are thus sad to inform you that your services are no longer required by the club, and you are hereby dismissed from the club,” the statement continued.

The athlete has also been instructed to return all membership belongings in his possession to the tools officer before leaving.
The 25-year-old defender, has been an integral component of the Tamale-based membership, helping them to achieve league promotion.
On Saturday, September 17, 2022, the right-back played in their week two fixture as well as their first home encounter against Legon Cities. He was then shown a red card for a dangerous challenge in the second half. The membership went on to lose the game 1-0, extending their winless streak to two games.
